位于高野山上的真田家菩提寺书房,会讲英语的僧侣,仅有 13 间客房,具有浓厚的武士时代色彩。
After the Battle of Sekigahara, the warlord Sanada Masayuki and his son Sanada Yukimura were exiled to Koyasan and stayed at Rengejo-in. The temple has served as the Sanada family's bodaiji ever since, and Sanada crests appear throughout the buildings.
With only 13 thoughtfully appointed rooms (including suites and family rooms), Rengejo-in offers a more intimate experience than larger Koyasan shukubo, with English-speaking staff used to international guests.
Each morning at 6:00, guests are invited to the main hall for chanting and sutra recitation, followed by a multi-course shojin ryori breakfast at 7:00.
